Here is the official prediction from @TheSpartanSlant for the upcoming 2014-2015 Michigan State Football Season.
I have the Spartans Finishing as B1G Repeat Champions in a 34-24 win over the Hawkeyes in Indianapolis. I have our total record going into the inaugural College Football Playoff as 12-1 and I predict that if the committee is going to put their money where their mouth is then Michigan State will bump out a few teams due to their non-embarrassing loss @ Oregon.
I have the offense averaging 36.15 points per game and the defense holding teams to an average of 10.77 points per game. It pains me to call the Oregon game a loss but I feel that if I'm being objective a win their to me would count as a huge victory due to it not being what I expect. I hope the team reads this as proves me wrong but I have to go with my gut and say from the outside looking in, Oregon should get the W. The loss of Braxton Miller makes the Ohio State game a W in East Lansing for me and the Michigan game will be one that will make the fate of Brady Hoke very hard to swallow, especially if he goes on to beat Ohio State in the last game of the season.
Iowa has a laughably easy schedule all the way up until the last two weeks of the season. It is highly likely that they will go into the Wisconsin game (at home mind you) 10-0 and based on the way rankings work, they will be ranked somewhere around #12 in the nation or higher. At that point I really think that becomes the game to win the West, as I feel Nebraska will drop one to Michigan State and potentially OSU, and that Wisconsin could lose to Nebraska. I believe a fired up Hawkeye fan base with a top 15 ranking will make Iowa City an insane environment for the Badgers and I believe the Hawkeyes will lock it up.
